Sugar Bear is a spin on the traditional and popular bear claw block. Instead of using half square triangles as the "claws", this pattern uses half rectangle triangles, giving it a more modern look. Sugar Bear is also a sampler quilt (every block is unique) and meant to read and worked through as a quilt along. Most of the fabric cutting will take with each block. However, all the background is cut prior to working on the blocks. At the bottom of most pages is a green box that will take you to a blog post with pictures, tips and tutorials for each block. This way you can work through the quilt in your own time. This quilt is made easier with the use of the Half Rectangle Triangle Ruler by Southern Charm Quilts, but it's not required.

Free Shipping Offer Details
The Free Domestic Shipping Offer is based on your cart total. To receive Free Shipping, your cart total (after all discounts) must be $75 or more. Unfortunately, there are times when items would have free shipping at their regular price, but once the sale price is applied they are no longer eligible. The Etsy system does not correct the Free Shipping Ad based on the discounted price.
When you receive Free Shipping, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT to ship all items in a manner that your purchase qualifies for and in keeping with good business practices, regardless if you have been offered or selected Priority by Etsy. Etsy shipping is not always accurate on weights and sizes when items of different postal requirements are taken into consideration.
Shipping Cost and Package Tracking
Most items are sent USPS Ground Advantage with a stiffener, this disqualifies the item(s) from first class shipping. This shipping option does include insurance should the item(s) be lost or damaged in transit. For items sent via media mail (when they qualify by USPS standards) I do add insurance.
If your order is lost or damaged in transit, I can assist filing a claim compensation, be it a refund or replacement.
If a package is scanned delivered by the post office but NOT received by you, it does become your responsibility to contact your local post office to try to locate or find out what happened to the package. Please note that we will need to wait for an insurance claim to be paid prior sending a replacement.
Do you refund for shipping overage charges?
Yes. We do our best to combine separate orders occurring on the same day and ship orders at the lowest rate possible based on the size and weight. Any shipping overage of $1 or more will be refunded to the payment account.
Please note: our patterns are sent via USPS and ship at package rates NOT letter rates. This is due to a larger envelope size and a stiffener we place with our patterns, which makes them more rigid to protect them from being bent or damaged by the postal service machinery.
