The Fields of Aster layout is part of the Queen Star Mixer series. It teaches a basic strip piecing process that is used with most of our star quilts, standard foundation paper piecing, curved paper piecing techniques, and curved assembly techniques. Several identically sized diamond blocks are used in a 91” x 91” layout that requires (48) diamonds, a background, and a border.
This pattern is a Collector’s Club Design, which means a limited number of patterns were published to celebrate the release of Tonga Batik Mini Collection that was used to make the quilt on the cover sheet. Generally, the number of patterns published is 500. Replacement papers are not available as these patterns are only published in limited numbers. When the patterns are sold out, they will not be re-printed. Get your copy today!
**TOP TIP** There are lots of Quiltworx tutorials on YouTube. They may not be this exact quilt but are from the same "family." I just love tutorials because they take the learning curve for making a new pattern to a much more manageable level. Etsy shipping is not always accurate on weights and sizes when items of different postal requirements are taken into consideration.
Shipping Cost and Package Tracking
Most items are sent USPS Ground Advantage with a stiffener, this disqualifies the item(s) from first class shipping. This shipping option does include insurance should the item(s) be lost or damaged in transit. For items sent via media mail (when they qualify by USPS standards) I do add insurance.
If your order is lost or damaged in transit, I can assist filing a claim compensation, be it a refund or replacement.
If a package is scanned delivered by the post office but NOT received by you, it does become your responsibility to contact your local post office to try to locate or find out what happened to the package. Please note that we will need to wait for an insurance claim to be paid prior sending a replacement.
Do you refund for shipping overage charges?
Yes. We do our best to combine separate orders occurring on the same day and ship orders at the lowest rate possible based on the size and weight. Any shipping overage of $1 or more will be refunded to the payment account.
Please note: our patterns are sent via USPS and ship at package rates NOT letter rates. This is due to a larger envelope size and a stiffener we place with our patterns, which makes them more rigid to protect them from being bent or damaged by the postal service machinery.
