This is a lovely, pieced quilt pattern is filled with feathered stars and has a diamond sashing. There are 432 half-square triangle squares that measure 1.5 unfinished. I highly recommend HST papers to make these as they make them efficiently and almost perfect every time without a lot of fuss. Also, there are some Y seams, which are nicely illustrated in the instructions. The instructions are easy to follow and have color illustrations. There are many cuts that require a ruler that will measure in 8th's. I highly recommend having one as these are critical in making your blocks come out correctly.
This quilt is fat quarter friendly. The cover quilt used a layer cake called "Tea Dye" & "Pebbles" by Edyta Sitar for Andover for the triangles.
**TOP TIP** Edyta has a tutorial on making a feathered star block available on YouTube (https://youtu.be/XdaYQixhD_E?si=oPUoIJEYufua8No7). It is not exactly the same, but it has many of the elements that can help you with this block and will give you more confidence in making this quilt. Shipping Cost and Package Tracking
Most items are sent USPS Ground Advantage with a stiffener, this disqualifies the item(s) from first class shipping. This shipping option does include insurance should the item(s) be lost or damaged in transit. For items sent via media mail (when they qualify by USPS standards) I do add insurance.
If your order is lost or damaged in transit, I can assist filing a claim compensation, be it a refund or replacement.
If a package is scanned delivered by the post office but NOT received by you, it does become your responsibility to contact your local post office to try to locate or find out what happened to the package. Please note that we will need to wait for an insurance claim to be paid prior sending a replacement.
Do you refund for shipping overage charges?
Yes. We do our best to combine separate orders occurring on the same day and ship orders at the lowest rate possible based on the size and weight. Any shipping overage of $1 or more will be refunded to the payment account.
Please note: our patterns are sent via USPS and ship at package rates NOT letter rates. This is due to a larger envelope size and a stiffener we place with our patterns, which makes them more rigid to protect them from being bent or damaged by the postal service machinery.
