The foundation papers and strip piecing processes for Confetti Cake were designed by Quiltworx based in part, on blocks originally designed in 2014 for the Prismatic Star. A Queen Layout was created and published in 2017 called Ice Castles, which used (8) fabrics ranging from light to dark. Confetti Cake is the same units as Ice Castles, but with a more playful color concept based on fabrics from Tula Pinks True Colors collection.
Online Video Instruction: In June of 2023, Judy Niemeyer will be hosting an online workshop that will be available from that point forward, for free, on the Quiltworx Youtube Channel. This is a great opportunity to watch Judy teach you organization techniques, how to read Quiltworx designs, how to complete the foundation strip piecing techniques used for our star series classes, the value of sashing strips for final assembly, and how to fussy cut the border units for this quilt.
The foundation papers, templates & template layout sheets are printed on newsprint. Newsprint is lightweight and tears away from your stitches without damaging the threads. This pattern has enough papers to complete one 68" x 68" quilt. If any corrections are needed for this pattern after publication, they will be listed on the Quiltworx webpage.
This pattern is Quiltster Compatible! This means you can color the quilt with your favorite Fabric Collection in Quiltster before you make it and obtain yardage! The Free Domestic Shipping Offer is based on your cart total. To receive Free Shipping, your cart total (after all discounts) must be $50 or more. Unfortunately, there are times when items would have free shipping at their regular price, but once the sale price is applied they are no longer eligible. The Etsy system does not correct the Free Shipping Ad based on the discounted price.
When you receive Free Shipping, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT to ship all items in a manner that your purchase qualifies for and in keeping with good business practices, regardless if you have been offered or selected Priority by Etsy. Etsy shipping is not always accurate on weights and sizes when items of different postal requirements are taken into consideration.
Shipping Cost and Package Tracking
Most items are sent USPS Ground Advantage with a stiffener, this disqualifies the item(s) from first class shipping. This shipping option does include insurance should the item(s) be lost or damaged in transit. For items sent via media mail (when they qualify by USPS standards) I do add insurance.
If your order is lost or damaged in transit, I can assist filing a claim compensation, be it a refund or replacement.
If a package is scanned delivered by the post office but NOT received by you, it does become your responsibility to contact your local post office to try to locate or find out what happened to the package. Please note that we will need to wait for an insurance claim to be paid prior sending a replacement.
Do you refund for shipping overage charges?
Yes. We do our best to combine separate orders occurring on the same day and ship orders at the lowest rate possible based on the size and weight. Any shipping overage of $1 or more will be refunded to the payment account.
Please note: our patterns are sent via USPS and ship at package rates NOT letter rates. This is due to a larger envelope size and a stiffener we place with our patterns, which makes them more rigid to protect them from being bent or damaged by the postal service machinery.
